Recently
Carol of nzolivers.com
undertook a genetic test through AncestryDNA.
A DNA test can determine a person's ancestry
or biological relationship between people.
Carol's results have identified three 2nd
cousins, four 3rd cousins, 213 4th cousins,
and 21,219 5th -8th cousins that are
currently in their DNA database. Already
communications has resulted from these
connections.
The results for 'Ethnicity Estimate':
- 51% Great
Britain
(Northern England,
Southern Enland)
- 35% Ireland/Scotland/Wales
- 7% Europe West (Belgium,
France, Germany, Netherlands,
Switzerland, Luxembourg,
Liechtenstein)
- 4% Scandinavia
(Primarily located in:
Sweden, Norway, Denmark)
Ancestry have
added new regions to improve the precision of
their results for DNA tests and, as at June
2019, the latest ethnicity estimate was as
follows:
- 54%
Ireland and Scotland (North
East Scotland & the Northern Isles
including Banff & Buchan, Ulster,
Ireland especially South Down & North
Louth)
- 46%
England, Wales & Northwestern Europe (Devon & Cornwall, England,
especially Devon)
