Contributed by Katia and husband Tim Oliver, (Ivor's grandson), with help from the wider Hawkes Bay Oliver families, these albums were first published here in March 2021 with more photos added in June and July 2021, and April 2022. Two photos in the 'Loma's Grandparents' album were replaced in October 2024 with higher quality versions.

The photo above shows the Mataroa settlement today. Mataroa is where Jim Oliver met wife Ness Shute and lived for a number of years before moving to Hawkes Bay. Mataroa is situated about ten kilometres (6-miles) north of Taihape in the centre of New Zealand's North Island.
