Information from Greg Oliver in a document of the Barrett Family Tree received in an email dated 11 May 2015. Greg is the great-grandson of Susan Caroline Barrett b.1861 and Samuel (Sam) Oliver b.1856. Greg advises the document was prepared by Raewyn Evans of New Plymouth about the year 2000.

In an email dated 20 July 2022, Betty Dent writes about her mother’s [Iris Rita Morrison] cousin’s [Angel Hope Marourneen Oliver] husband, this “Horst Szczesny”, saying, “The Taranaki Daily News obituary stated Horst was the brother of Erna ( Germany) so they must have been German citizens and the ship Horst captained must indeed have been German also. Horst died "peacefully at home" 27/6/2019”.
