Name of Jenny Smith (nee Bryce) from Jenny herself! Her late husband, John Monro Menzies, was the grandson of Telitha Carrel (b. 1885), sister of Maud Oliver (nee Carrel).

Formal name of “Jennifer” from Death Notice of her husband’s father, “Samuel Monro Menzies” held by Rachel Oliver b. 1940.

On 2nd February 2015 Jenny emailed Brian of nzolivers.com, “Didn’t like to spoil everyone’s Christmas with the details, but the surgery I had found advanced cancer. The doctors can only offer me pain killers and palliative chemotherapy. I thought I had better let you know as I won’t be doing any more family research or renewing my subscription to Ancestry when it runs out. Thank you for the contact over the years, I am sorry we have not had the chance to meet. Kind Regards, Jenny”.

SMITH, Jenny. Peacefully at Hospice Wanganui on Monday January 18th, 2016. Friend of many, especially children: teacher, nurse, nanny, writer, aunt and soulmate of Dave.
