Name of "Daphne Menzies", date of birth of "6 September 1911, place of birth as "Wanganui”, daughter of Edward Sutherland Menzies and Florence Minnie Borthwick, from Jenny Smith (nee Bryce) whose late husband, John Monro Menzies, was the grandson of Telitha Carrel (b. 1885), sister of Maud Oliver (nee Carrel). Added here in July 2013.
Rosemary Jones in an email from dated 5 May 2021 writes that Daphne was not born to Edward Sutherland Menzies and Florence Minnie Borthwick. Rosemary goes on to say, “If he [Edward] was the father of Daphne Menzies, he wasn’t married to Florence at the time of her birth and she is not her mother”. Rosemary is the granddaughter of Florence Minnie Menzies (nee Borthwick) and Edward Sutherland Menzies.
Based on the above information, I have pulled Daphne out of this relationship and entered her underneath a separate relationship of her father, Edward Menzies.
