Information from John Grant, great-great-grandson of Susanna (nee Parsons) born ca 1819 and Samuel Matthews. And, Great-grandson of Samuel Matthews [Jnr] b. 1848.

John writes, “Francis Oliver's first wife Mary Parsons, had a sister Susanna Parsons whom also migrated to New Plymouth on the Amelia Thompson. Susanna Parsons married Samuel Matthews and they had several children in Inglewood. Susanna and Samuel are my great great grandparents”.

Brian of nzolivers.com identified Susanna Matthews (nee Parsons) name on the Amelia Thompson passenger list, “Susanna Mathews, aged 22”. This places her as being born in ca 1819, four years ahead of her sister, Mary Parsons.
