Information from Graeme Kenyon, whose great grandfather was James George Kenyon b.1861 whose second wife was Ada Oliver b.1864, daughter of Samuel Oliver b.1833.
Graeme writes, “It is not clear whether Thomas [Kenyon] was actually the father of James and John, probably not, though after arrival in New Zealand they were known as James and John Kenyon”.
Graeme continues to write, “It’s a long story, but to cut it short, James never married, John never married in NZ, deserted from the Navy and disappeared in Australia leaving no trace, so Thomas Kenyon’s line probably ends here”.
