ROBBERS PLEAD GUILTYFour men who had broken and entered numerous shops in the city and suburbs and who had stolen articles to the value of £100 pleaded guilty at the Supreme Court yesterday and were remanded for sentence until Saturday morning. The accused were
George Edward Dickman, Alfred Richard Dickman, Henry James Dickman and Darcy Robert McDevitt. Mr. J, W. Dickson appeared for them. Albert Henry Parrish (Mr. R. Finlay) pleaded guilty to charges of indecent and common assault on a female and was remanded for sentence until Saturday.

EXEMPLARY PUNISHMENT.
The determination of the authorities to suppress the epidemic of burglary and general lawlessness which appears to be traversing Auckland and its suburbs was exemplified when George Edward Dickman, Alfred Richard Dickman, Henry James Dickman, and D'Arcy Robert McDevitt, all pleading guilty to several charges of breaking "and entering and theft, came up for sentence. McDevitt was sent to prison for two years, and declared an habitual criminal. Henry James Dickman was sentenced to two years' imprisonment; Alfred Richard Dickman to one year; and
George Edward Dickman to two.
