Ian Whyman, grandson of Alfred’s brother, Archie Victor Whyman, in an email dated 6 July 2017, writes, “There is a descendant from Alfred Whyman who owns the sports store in Turangi. Another descendant named Bert used to be an upholsterer in Paraparaumu, and another girl (who's name escapes me at the moment) married a farmer in Tirau. The three of them are our generation but our paths have not crossed for some years”.
