About Taylor, George
George Taylor (born 1825) married Jane Thomas, and they had a family of 15 children, five, at least, of whom attended the Tawa Flat school. They moved to Inglewood in 1875, where the parents both died in 1890, Mrs Taylor on 20 April, aged 55, and her husband on 5 October, aged 63.
Their family was:
Edward, born 13 October 1854, died 22 June 1930;
Eliza, born 12 December 1855 (Mrs Palmer);
Mildred, born 1856, died aged three years;
Thomas Ambrose, born 14 September 1857;
Amelia, born 27 January 1861, married Wm. Jones;
