About Taylor, George
George Taylor (born 1825) married Jane Thomas, and they had a family of 15 children, five, at least, of whom attended the Tawa Flat school. They moved to Inglewood in 1875, where the parents both died in 1890, Mrs Taylor on 20 April, aged 55, and her husband on 5 October, aged 63.
Their family was:

Mildred, born 1856, died aged three years;

Brian Oliver of nzolivers notes that son George Taylor, married Mabel Matilda Oliver who was the daughter of Francis Oliver born 1840.
