William M. Carlisle married Adelin M. Hanlen 28 May 1885. They had one child, Mary Olive b. 23 Oct 1887 in Gambier, OH. William did not move to KS with his family in the late 1870's but stayed in Ohio living with his uncle, William Oliver. William Carlisle became a successful farmer and was on the People's Bank Board of Directors in Gambier.
