This week's Good Bloke Award goes to John Kilford of Manurewa and his wife Carol.
They're nominated by their neighbour Nisheeth Prakash​, who writes:
"John and Carol are a very caring couple who reach out to all their neighbours. Carol is a school teacher and John is a taxi driver.
"On Saturdays I see them picking up litter from the pavements in and around our neighbourhood.
"They are also very active in their church. I see them reaching out to people of different ethnicities.
"I admire them for their commitment to their church and their service to people who need help. I wish there were more people like Carol and John in Manurewa."
