Kim Cripps (nee Jamieson), writes in a facebook messenger message on 24 December 2021 that, “My uncle was a young Constable in Wellington at the time. Every Wahine Anniversary I see him either in a photo or in a news clip, helping the passengers ashore at Seatoun”.
Kim Cripps is the niece of this Lloyd Jones and is also the daughter-in-law of Reta Oliver (1919-2000).
Name of Lloyd, he and his wife Sue live in Melbourne, health issues, is aged 78, from Kim Cripps in a messenger message on 1 April 2022.
Lloyd had died and memorial service to be held on 12 February 2024, second given name, preferred name, date of birth, date of death, from photo of memorial service invitation received from Kim Cripps in messenger messages on 9 February 2024.
