On the afternoon of April 4th, 2025, my Dad, Dax Lloyd, passed away peacefully—surrounded by those who loved him most.
My mum, my brother Idris, and I are profoundly grateful for the support, kindness, and strength shown to us over the past few weeks. Your messages, memories, and presence have meant more than we can ever express.
There will only ever be one Dax—fierce, funny, wise, wild, and deeply loved. His spirit was larger than life, and it will never fade.
Last year, in conversation, he told me:
“You know, in this life, I’ve accomplished everything I ever wanted.”
I will hold that memory close for the rest of my days.
I’ve always looked up to his wit, determination, creativity, and unmatched commitment to being unapologetically himself. I am so lucky to have had such a beautiful man to call Dad—and I will carry his light and legacy with me forever.
Though I will miss you endlessly, and look to the sky in search of you, I know that one day, I’ll see you again in Valhalla, Dad.
We left him with this blessing, one that felt right in his final moments:
May the road rise to meet you, and the wind be always at your back.
May the sun warm your face, and the earth cradle your body.
May your spirit rise like smoke to the stars, and find peace in the Otherworld.
Go in love, go in peace, go in power. You are never alone.
