Name of "John Julian Oliver”, date of birth of 28 January 1857, from Muriel Leo’s (nee Oliver, 1917-1998) Family Tree and added here in September 2005.
Penciled note on tree that registered as John James. However, Brian discounts this:
1. The book "The Julian Jigsaw" by Madge Malcolm uses the name "John Julian Oliver"
2. The second given name of “Julian” is his mother's maiden name.

No NZ BDM birth record could be found for “John Julian Oliver” with a mother of ‘Mary Jane Oliver’. However, this is not unusual because if the record was misspelt when transcribing from the original handwritten record, then the surname 'Oliver' could be misspelt on the BDM website. And hence, does not show up in the search.
