Name of “Annabella Oliver”, year of birth from reliable information (CB/January 2002) collected by Brian Oliver of nzolivers.com (b.1950) on his April 2008 visit to Devon.
Full date of birth, and baptism of 8th April 1863, from David Eric Lloyd (born 15 Feb 1943) which he gleaned from the New Plymouth archives from the Registry of Baptisms Wesleyan.
Day and month of death (12 May) from Clarence (Clarry) George Oliver b. 09 Sep 1928. The year of death from Clarry was unclear but could have been “1891”.
Year of death of “1893” used here is from Neville Richards, grandson of Ivy Grace Oliver.
Neville says Annabella was known as, “Bell”.
Date of marriage from Neville Richards.
Marriage record on search on New Zealand BDM website in June 2018 has first name with one “N” “Anabella”:
1891/495. Bride: Anabella Oliver. Groom: John Richard Gernhoefer
However, a record of the birth of her son her first name is spelt with two “N”s:
1892/5719. Gernhoefer, Richard Heinrich. Mother: Annabella. Father: Richard Johann
Brian Oliver of nzolivers.com notes in June 2018, that Annabella’s death of 12 May 1893 is exactly the same date of the death of her husband, Richard John GERNHOEFER? His date of death and place of burial was from New Zealand Cemetery Records, 1800 - 2007 for Taranaki researched in June 2018.
Brian is suspicious of this date of death. Unless the death was as the result of an accident it seems rather ublikey they died on the same day.
Brian has discovered that a “Annabella Gernhoefer” appears in the following after this date of supposed death:

And, in the Wises NZ Post Office Directories, Annabella Gernhoefer is listed next to her mother (Elizabeth, with surname of second husband, formerly Oliver, nee Baker) under Young Street ‘Right side from Queen St, Vogeltown’ [New Plymouth]:

The New Zealand Death Index records a “Annabella Gernhoefer” death Jul-Aug-Sep 1946 registered in Tairua, Auckland, New Zealand. Brian cannot confirm this is our Annabella.
