Name, date of birth and date of death from "The Jury Family", lodged at Puke Ariki Museum, New Plymouth, New Zealand.

John and Elizabeth are the parents of Ambrosine Rogers b. 1854, who married Frank Richard Oliver, son of Samuel Oliver b. ca 1820.
Piecing together information from Ross Rogers, it is also interesting to note that Elizabeth’s brother, William Jury, married Alice Matilda (Tilly) McKoy, daughter of Mary Ann Oliver, eldest daughter of the above Samuel’s brother, James Oliver (b. 1805).

Burial at Waireka Cemetery, Omata, Taranaki, New Zealand from Ross Rogers, in a print-out of his John Rogers/Jane Faull family tree received 16 November 2016. Ross is descendant from the grandfather of Ambrosine Rogers b. 1854 (whom married Frank Richard Oliver b. 1850).

In June 2018, Brian of nzolivers.com determined that daughters Getrude and Freida both married into the Alldridge family:
In 1892 Freida Linda Rogers b.1870 married John William Alldridge b.1868.
In 1894 Getrude Rogers b.1863 married John William Alldridge’s father, John Harold Alldridge b.1845. (She was John Harold Alldridge’s second wife).

Date and place of baptism from Barry Hallett in an email dated 26 October 2017. Barry is the great-great-grandson of John Rogers (b.1825) and Elizabeth Ann Jury. Their daughter, Frieda Linda Rogers, is Barry’s great-grandmother.

Surname in baptism record spelt “Gury”.

The transcript of the Baptism for Elizabeth Ann was received from Barry in an email dated 5 February 2018 and reads:
Baptised 10 May 1829
Elizabeth Ann daughter of Jesse & Elizabeth Gury
Shorne Cliff Barracks Private, Royal Staff Corps

In this 5 February 2018 email, Barry writes, “Knowing that her [Elizabeth] father [Jesse] was a private in the Royal Staff Corps., I decided to do some research on his army career and see if I could verify that this was, in fact, 'our' Elizabeth Ann Jury. He enlisted in Plymouth on 05 May 1820 and was discharged on 10 November 1829, confirming that he was still in the army when Elizabeth Ann was born. The Royal Staff Corp were primarily based in Hythe, but at the time Elizabeth Ann was born they were based (or a large part of the Corps) at Shorne Cliff Barracks (which is just a mile from Cheriton). Knowing that she was born on the 16 April 1829, information from the Jury Family Bible in Thomas Jury's possession, then I believe we can be confident that this is indeed 'our' Elizabeth Ann Jury and that she was born in Cheriton, Kent”.
