Name of William John confirmed, date of birth, baptised in the Roman Catholic Chapel, St Heliers, Jersey, from handwritten note from Brian Carrell, grandson of George Robert Carrel, George being a son of John and Talitha (nee Hutchings) Carroll/Carrel.

An entry by Brian Carrell in 'Appendix ii' of his brother’s, (Anthony Carrell), book published in 2019, “John and Talitha Carroll - From Jersey to Wanganui”:
“John spelled his surname CARRELL. A 'bookbinder' by trade, in 1898 John headed this new department in JD Quin's Wanganui bookselling business. In Sydney in 1900 at 31 he married Euphemia Frances Buckrell (née Moncrieff) a divorcee of Darlinghurst. He and Euphemia had one daughter, Myrtle Gladys Talitha, b. in Wanganui, who died in Wellington Hospital in April 1908, aged 4½”.

No record of death could be found on the New Zealand BDM website as at July 2024.

This book, written by Anthony Carrell, was first published in September 2019. Sadly, Anthony passed away less than three years later.
Due to demand, the book became out of print. Brian Oliver of nzolivers, in September 2024, republished it, with the support of Anthony's wife, forwarding working material, research, some digital files, and original papers.
