Information from Jenny Smith (nee Bryce) whose late husband, John Monro Menzies, was the grandson of Telitha Carrel (b. 1885), sister of Maud Oliver (nee Carrel).
Emigrated to New Zealand with family, leaving Gravesend, London, England on 24 December 1874 on the "Edwin Fox", and arriving four months later in Wellington New Zealand 18 April 1875.
