Month of death (July), confirmation of year of death (1942) from image from Wanganui Collegiate School Past Pupils information from Denise Moody in an email dated 22 October 2017. Denise is the wife of Robin Moody. Robin’s father, Ernest Arthur MOODY, was adopted. He was born “James Campbell Lumsden ROBERTSON”, his biological mother being Gertrude Eleanor ROBERTSON (b.1887), father unknown. Gertrude later married Lionel Ernest Carrel (b.ca 1885).

Born in Wanganui New Zealand. Parents were Herbert Charles and Mary (nee Hartwell).
Referring to the above, Brian of nzolivers believes Noel’s parents were NOT Herbert Charles and Mary. They were his uncle and aunt. Noel’s parents were Lionel Ernest Carrel and Gertrude Eleanor Lawson. Unfortunately Noel’s mother died two days after his birth and was brought up by his Carrel grandparent.
