First name and surname from Janet (Jan) Kelly, great-granddaughter of Mary Ann Carroll, Mary being a daughter of John and Talitha (nee Hutchings) Carroll/Carrel.
Year of birth (1916) from Denise Moody in an email dated 16 October 2017. Denise is the wife of Robin Moody. Robin’s father, Ernest Arthur MOODY, was adopted. He was born “James Campbell Lumsden ROBERTSON”, his biological mother being Gertrude Eleanor ROBERTSON (b.1887), father unknown. Gertrude later married Lionel Ernest Carrel (b.ca 1885).
Denise Moody writes in an email dated 28 October 2017, “found the Will of Eileen May Carrel's husband, Peter George Murray Russell, no wonder we couldn't find where they were buried in any of the Wanganui Cemeteries - he had in his Will he was to be cremated and his ashes put under the flag pole at their home, that is probably where Eileen is as well”.
Denise above refers to a second name of “May”.

Full date of birth from further searching on BDM Search by incrementally changing the date range for the birth, Brian of nzolivers has determined date of birth as 28 April 1916.
Year of marriage circa 1947 being between Electoral Roll years of 1946 and 1949.
As at 19 July 2018, Brian of nzolivers cannot find any evidence that Eileen May Russell (nee Carrel) has died. There is no record of her at Aramoho Cemetery, Wanganui. (There is a record for an Ellen May Russell died 28/05/1998 aged 87. However, this would place this persons date of as circa 1901 and her husband was Rodger Montgomery Russell, so not ours).
Also, Brian cannot find a notice of death for our Eileen May Russell in any newspaper. Eileen may still be living. Looking on the 2002 Whanganui Electoral Composite Roll she does appear but does not appear on the 2006 Whanganui Main Roll. (From Electoral Rolls at Paraparaumu Library). So, Eileen either died circa 2004 or moved out of the electorate. I looked at adjacent electorates, Rangitikei and Taupo but not on those.

“Denise Moody has just found that Eileen died 27 Oct 2003. She has not found a will… Sounds as though Peter may not have had much employment. Eileen told me Peter was the first NZer to have insulin injection - wonder if that had anything to do with it? She [Eileen] had trained as a teacher”.
Denise Robertson’s husband is Murray Robertson and is the grandson of John Earl Robertson b. 1883. John Earl Robertson was the brother of Gertrude Eleanor who married Lionel Ernest Carrel.

Place of burial and cemetery reference from an old neigbour, Mary Hall (nee Grennell), in an email dated 14 April 2022. Mary is not related. Mary writes, “We lived at 43 Karaka Street when I was young (aged 3-11) and have very fond memories of Mrs Russell. She worked as a librarian at the Wanganui Public Library and every Friday she would bring home a big pile of books for my brother and I to read and then they would go back the following Friday. My parents didn't have a car, so this was a godsend”.
