James Snow was born in late August, 1729 as the son of William Snow (christened April 26, 1705 in Bampton, Devon, England) and Mary Yeandall Snow (christened 1705 in Bampton, Devon, England). His parents were married in February 1729.
On August 24, 1755, he married Elizabeth Ash (b. Feb. 1730 in Bampton). They had two sons: James (b. 1756) and John (b. 1767).
James Snow Sr.'s date of death was January 24, 1779, in Bampton, England.
