Name, date of birth, place of christening “Henrietta Gibson born May 22 1794 at 11 o’clock at night and Christened at the Parish Church of St[?] Edmond[?] Surrey[?]” from Image 6 of the Devis Family Bible sent by Derek Dillon in an email dated 16 March 2018. Derek had copied the Bible pages, while visiting some cousins in England circa 1988. The Bible had been passed down through the Devis, Gibson and Dillon families. Derek is the x3-great grandson of Hannah Barlow (b.1759) and her second husband, David Gibson. (Hannah Barlow remarried after the death of first husband Henry Devis b.1750).

Place of christening as “15 June 1794 St. Mary Magdelen, Richmond, Surrey” from Linda Burge received in a “David Gibson Descendants Report” emailed on 28 June 2018. Linda is the x4-great granddaughter of Hannah Barbara Barlow b. 1759 and first husband Henry Devis. Hannah Barbara Devis (nee Barlow) remarried, to the David Gibson of the mentioned report.

Date of christening confirmed as “15 June 1794”, place of christening as “St Mary Magdalene Church, Richmond, Surrey”, date and place of first marriage to Samuel Cowley, from Derek Dillon in an email dated 2 July 2018.

Brian of nzolivers surmises that Henrietta’s second marriage (to William Tay) would of been circa 1832. This would be after her first husbands death in October 1832 and nefore the birth of her daughter ‘Mary’ with William Tay in circa 1932.

Children of Henreitta and William Tay from Linda Burge in an email dated 5 July 2018:
“Mary Tay daughter 9, born about 1832, Emily Tay dau. 7 born abt. 1834 and Samuel Tay 15 Pot boy born about 1826”.
Brian of nzolivers is assuming that the 15-year old Samuel Tay was in fact a son of Henreitta and her first husband Samuel Cowley. This is based on young Samuel being born at the time Henreitta was married to Samuel Cowley and that young Samuel carries his father’s name.
