Last night, Mr. C. Wrisberg, late of the New Zealand Farmers' Dairy Union, who has severed his connection with the Union in order to take over the management of a dairy at Normanby, was entertained at a supper at the Trocadero by a number of his friends. Mr. C. Dunford, manager of the Union, presented Mr. Wrisberg with a silver-mounted walking slick, as a token of the high esteem in which he is held by his late fellow-employees and other friends.

On Thursday afternoon, Messrs Nicholas and Wrisberg, the new proprietors of the Egmont Hotel, took possession. Both of the gentlemen are well known in this district, Mr Nicholas having been in business in Hawera, and more recently has been proprietor of the Imperial Hotel at Normanby. Mr Wrisberg is well known, having been the manager of the Normanby Dairy Factory, and the Egmont Hotel should lose none of its old popularity in its change of proprietorship.
