On Wednesday last a very pretty wedding was celebrated at Matangi, when Mr Samuel Burge, eldest son of Mrs Burge, of Hamilton, was united to Miss Maud Long, eldest daughter of Mrs Long, of Matangi. The Rev. Cowie officiated. The bride, who was attended by Miss Mary Burge and Miss Isabella Long as bridesmaids, looked very nice in a cream silk dress trimmed with silk insertion and bebe ribbon, while the bridesmaids were dressed in creme voile, trimmed with cream insertion. The bride was given away by her mother, and Mr J. Long acted as best man. After the ceremony a number of friends were entertained at the residence of the bride's mother. The young couple left by the express for Rotorua, where the honeymoon will be spent.
