Name of “Peter Uszak”, place of birth as “Sambir Poland”, located on the Dniester River in South Poland just North of Carpathian Mountains in 1900. Presently located in Ukraine. From typed “Family Group” one-pager dated 15 November 1995 and obtained from the Toth family by Brian of nzolivers while visiting the USA in November 2022.
This Peter Usak's granddaughter, Frances Usak, married Daniel Toth (1898-1970) in 1934. This was Daniel's second marriage and they went on to have two children, Daniel and Arlene.

Sambir on the Dnister River today is part of Western Ukraine. From 1387–1772 it was part of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, and from 1772–1918 part of the Austrian Empire (1772–1918). It was under Polish rule from 1919 to 1939. After the Second World War Sambir became part of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic. Today Sambir is an industrial and transportation centre. Its factories produce radio parts, instruments, glass, furniture, clothes, and sugar and repair road-building machinery.
