Thomas Newsham married shortly after his arrival in New Plymouth and he and his wife Mary had 15 children. Thomas wrote to his mother Susannah Newsham in Norwich on July 13 1848 detailing his early life in New Zealand. He was in the Police Force, hoping to leave in a year to work full time on his farm.
Winsome Griffin's (nee Guilford) late husband was Neville Griffin. Neville's maternal grandfather, was George Newsham. George’s father, was this Tom Newsham.
