A quiet but pretty wedding took place yesterday afternoon at the residence of the bride's parents, Mackay street, the contracting parties being Miss Sophia Eliza Ross eldest daughter of Mr George M. Ross, and Mr James Trainor. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. J, Mackenzie, M.A. The bride, who was attired in a fawn costume, with lace trimmings to match, and wore the conventional orange blossoms, carried a handsome bouquet made by Miss Florrie Johns, and was given away by her father. She was attended by two brides-maids - Miss Emma Ross and Beatrice Burns, the former wearing a maroon costume with cream front and cream trimmings, and the latter navy blue, with trimmings to match, while both carried pretty baskets of flowers, made by Miss Florrie Johns. Mr Albert Masters acted as best man. Amongst those present were - Mrs Ross, mother of the bride, handsome black velvet, bead trimmings; Miss Florrie Johns, black costume, with pale blue silk front; Miss E. Autridge, lavender costume, with cream trimmings; Misses Lily and Jane Goodwin, blue costume, cream trimmings; Miss Ethel Autridge, navy blue, white trimmings. The presents were numerous and useful. The wedding cake was made by Mr Learmouth, while included m the wedding presents was a second handsome wedding cake from Mr Robert Hill.
