Jones Family Arrive in New Zealand
In June 2025 it was found that Thomas, along with wife Hannah and their children Eliza, Emma, Hannah, and Thomas, arrived in Auckland on 3 September 1872 on board the ship "The City of Auckland". It had left Gravesend, about 21 miles east-southeast of London on 31st of May 1872. The passenger lists shows:
Jones: Thomas 30, Hannah 26, Eliza 6, Emma 4, Hannah 3, Thomas 1.

Isabella Whiteude JONES
In June 2025 a birth record on New Zealand BDM website was found:
1880/19087. Jones, Isabella Whiteude. Mother: Annie. Father: Thomas. Date of birth 6 October 1880.
However, it was found this birth was registered in Tauranga (Folio Number 3542) and further research shows father as Thomas Keiller Jones (1844-1910) and Mother as Nancy (Annie) de la Haye (1854-1884).

Charlotte Alice JONES
In June 2025 a birth record on New Zealand BDM website was found:
1887/515. Jones, Charlotte Alice. Mother: Hannah. Father: Thomas. Date of birth 18 January 1887.
However, it was found this birth was registered in Duntroon (Canterbury in South Island), New Zealand (Folio Number 860) and further research on Find a Grave shows died 27 dec 1805 and mother Hannah died 16 Oct 1918 age 65 years - Mother’s date/age does not add up.
