Information from Sharon Gay McKoy, granddaughter of Francis Otto McKoy b.1888.

Sharon in an email of 11 July 2013 writes, “Grandma [Ada] was staying with us at the time and apparently she went to hospital for a minor operation. On the day, she told mum that she did not want the operation and basically closed her eyes and passed away. I was 5 at the time so that may have been a nice way for mum to tell me that she had died. I just know that she was very close to granddad and missed him very much.

The following from Diane Kerr on 30/11/16, a cousin of Roger Sanford in England. whose great-aunt was Ada Edith Osborne, who married Francis Otto McKoy:
