Graeme writes Hannah was, “known in New Zealand as Hannah Willah but no such family name appears to exist in Halifax. She is almost certainly Hannah Willey, descended from a family of stone masons who lived in Northowram (a satellite village of Halifax)”.

Brian of nzolivers.com notes that Northowram is a village in Calderdale, West Yorkshire, England that stands to the east of Halifax on the north side of Shibden valley.
