Our Son Frederick George Pedersen Horneman born at Newington crescent on Saturday 28 July 1838 at half past 9 in the morning.
He was registered on 17 August following in the Parish of St Mary, Newington = according to an Act of Parliament recently passed = He was christened on the 7 of September 1838 at Trinity church, by the Rev.d G. Chesnutt.
His Godfathers were
1. George Reid Esq of Woodmansterne Surrey - a merchant, partner in the extensive House of Reid Irving & Co – and brother of Sir John Rae Reid Bart. M.P. Governor of the Bank of England.
2. His Excellency Sir Peder Pedersen K.C.D. of Copenhagen
His Godmother was Mrs Pauline Anne Green ( born Horneman) of Oxford wife of Rev. Fredk Green. Grandmother Horneman stood proxy for her.
He was named Frederick after his father & George & Pedersen after his Godfathers. He died on 30 July 1839 at No. 10 Queen’s place Kennington Road, & was buried at St Marks in the Church yard on the north side of the Church, near the ground marked IV & O, where there is a head and foot stone erected with his name thereon.
