The wives of Apia bowlers gave a send-off on Monday afternoon last to Mrs G. P. Brown, who is leaving Samoa after a residence here of over eight years. The gathering was held at the home of Mrs A. L. Braisby, in Vaiala, and a most enjoyable time was passed in converse and games. Bridge and five-hundred were played. The winning pair ;'.t bridge were Mrs Partridge and Mrs Rutherford, while the prizes for five-hundred went to Mrs Lofley and Mrs J. Johnston.
