The death has occurred of Mr Arthur Leslie Braisby, aged 64. inspector in charge of the Samoan Constabulary since 1924. He recently came to Auckland for medical reasons. Mr Braisby served in the Boer War and in the First World War. He was a member of the force guarding von Luckner at Motuihi. and was transferred to the Samoan Armed Constabulary in 1920, remaining with the Samoan police when the constabulary was disbanded. He is survived by his wife and daughter.
