Immigrated to New Zealand on the 'Halcione' which departed London/Gravesend 25 May 1875 under the command of Capt. J.E. Croker. The ship arrived at the New Plymouth roadstead on 2nd September 1875. On the morning of the 3rd September some of the passengers were rowed to shore, rough conditions prevented all the passengers being disembarked and they were taken on to Wellington and returned to New Plymouth by the coastal ship Taranaki on the 9th September 1875.
