Date of marriage from Dax Eric Clayton Lloyd, great-grandson of Jessie Bertha Oliver b.1876.
Dax writes Ada was married, “according to Wanganui Herald, Volume XXXXIV, Issue 12870, 9 September 1909, Page 4:”
"MARRIAGE KENYON-OLIVER.-On August 25, at the residence of Mr Bradley, Gonville Avenue, by the Rev. J. Luxford, James George, eldest son of Mr J. Kenyon, New Plymouth, to Ada, second daughter of the late Samuel Oliver, No. 3 Line, Wanganui."

- Hamilton East Cemetery Record: Name: Ada KENYON, Age: 94, Sex: Female, Death: 21/01/1959, Born:, Buried: 22/01/1959, Type: Burial, Funeral Director: Scrimshaw, E. G., Last Address: Unspecified, Location: Hamilton East Cemetery, D-I-74”
Graeme Kenyon, writes below. His great grandfather was James George Kenyon b.1861 whose second wife was this Ada Oliver b.1864.
“How James George Kenyon met up with Ada Oliver (from Wanganui) is a mystery. James George Kenyon (farming in South Taranaki) had for some years been relying on employed housekeepers since his wife died, and some of his family were still children. Ada, a spinster in her forties in Wanganui probably looking after her father since her mother had died, had recently lost her father also. Did she go to South Taranaki to work as a housekeeper? Or, were the two already acquainted through the earlier Kenyon/Oliver relationship? I am sure there is an interesting story here. Throughout the lead-up to James George Kenyon’s selling up and leaving South Taranaki there are newspaper reports (mostly turned out to be incorrect) of his future plans, and no mention of Ada Oliver. Then (suddenly it appears) he married Ada and off they went to a completely new environment in the backblocks of Hunterville (Sandon Block.)
Place of death from Graeme Kenyon.
Please also see Ada’s husband’s (James George Kenyon) details that includes the period of marriage with him in a Chronology.
