Peter Horneman advised Brian of
nzolivers.com in 2/3 May 2017, that Frederica out to New Zealand with her parents on the barque ‘Slains Castle’. They left Gravesend on the 22nd July 1852 and arrived at Otago on the 9th November 1852, after a good passage of 108 days. They arrived in Nelson on 3rd January 1853.
(Peter Horneman is the great-grandson of Emma Caroline Horneman b. 1836).
Date and place of marriage, from notes, written by Frederick Edward Horneman in his Bible, were received in an email dated 20 May 2017 from Julie Bourke.

Our daughter Frederica Jane Horneman born No. 2 Holland Street Southside Clapham Road on Thursday the 9th of June 1842 at ΒΌ past 10 at night, in the Parish of Lambeth Surrey. She was christened on 7th December following, (having been previously registered on 20 July), by the Rev G. Chesnutt at Trinity Church, Newington.

1. Mrs Pauline Anne Green (born Horneman) of Bellevue her aunt.
2. Mrs Louisa Adelaide Brown (born Horneman) of Woodland terrace, Woolwich road

Her father stood proxy for Revd F. Green. Her mother stood proxy for Mrs John Brown & Her Grandmother Horneman stood proxy for Mrs F. Green.
She is called Frederica after the late Countess Holck & Jane after her Grandmother, (widow of the late Counsel=General Horneman) who died in Lewisham, Kent, on tuesday afternoon the 6 of March 1849, & was buried in Lewisham Churchyard on Monday the 12 of March following.
died at the Vicarage Ellingham on Saturday 3rd April 1858.

Frederica, was married on Wednesday 23rd of November 1870 at St Thomas’ Church Motueka to John George Knyvett of Upper Motueka Valley.
Note: Revd Fred Green and his wife Pauline Anne Green/Horneman were brother-in-law and sister to Frederick Edward Horneman. Louisa Adelaide Brown/Horneman was also sister to Frederick Edward Horneman. Her father was Frederick Edward Horneman, her mother was Emma Francis Horneman/Devis and her grandmother was Jane Horneman/Hammond wife of Henry Horneman Counsul General. Frederica Countess of Holck was wife of Henry de Flindt who was half brother to Bodil Birgette Flindt who married Hans Riegelsen, daughter Bothilda married Ole Horneman.
