The death has occurred at Kiwitea of Mr. John George Knyvett, aged 81 years. Mr. Knyvett landed in New Zealand 63 years ago, and spent 33 years in the Lands and Deeds Office at Nelson He afterwards settled in New Plymouth, where he resided for many years. He was hale and hearty almost to the day of his death.

Mr John George Knyvett, an old pioneer, died at Kiwitea on Tuesday, aged 81. For twenty years he was a butter grader at New Plymouth. Mrs Knyvett predeceased her husband 12 years ago. Tho deceased gentleman leaves two daughters (Mrs A. K. Saxon, of Shannon, and Miss Knyvett, of Kiwitea). and three sons John Knyvett (of Kiwitea), George Knyvett (of Alberta, Canada), and E. C. Knyvett (of Kiwitea) to mourn their loss.
